Installation

We typically work especially closely with the Electrical and Fire Alarm contractors to ensure that our systems are installed compliant to all Fire and Electrical codes.

Installation

Our installation process begins after a thorough site survey, detailed design, and approval from the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Our systems are installed to the standards set forth in NFPA1221, NFPA72, California Fire Code, and by the local jurisdiction.

Our team of technicians uses their years of experience to install the system efficiently, professionally, and within the timelines set forth by our installation partners. In addition to manufacturer and industry certifications, our technicians have a considerable amount of general construction experience which allows them to work seamlessly with other contractors on the building site. Prior to DAS installation, we will walk the site with the infrastructure contractor to ensure the pathways are installed per the shop drawings. We will then install the system, which includes the following tasks:

  • Install the donor antenna(s), lightning protection, and weatherproofing
  • Install the Amplification equipment and battery backup
  • Test and terminate all coaxial cable
  • Install service antennas
  • Connect to Fire Alarm System
  • Commission and test completed installation
  • Conduct the acceptance test and create an Acceptance Test Report

It is our goal to provide installation and the proper documentation throughout the process. This paves the way for recertification, easy maintenance, and annual testing required by the California Fire Code.
