Pacific DAS Permit Services

A permit is required before the installation of the Emergency Responder Radio Coverage System, or ERRCS can begin. Most cities and counties have very different requirements for permit submittal information, inspection procedures, and plan check methods. We are experts in the permit processes and code enforcement requirements throughout our service area.

The Permit Process

The contractor is responsible for applying for permits to install a new ERRCS or when modifying an existing system. The processes and requirements vary from city to city or county to county, but in general, a permit application should include the following:

  • Building Construction Type, Size, and Occupancy Class
  • Applicable years for Fire and Building Codes
  • FCC and Manufacturer Training Certifications
  • Equipment data sheets
  • Equipment List, backup battery calculations
  • Pathway survivability diagram
  • Floor plans with device locations
  • Fire Alarm connectivity
  • Installation detail for various components

Our team at Pacific DAS is very experienced in the permitting process and has exceptional working relationships with jurisdictions throughout California. This allows us to create your submittal package efficiently and reduces review and approval time because we know what the requirements are beforehand.
Our design, drafting, and printing are done in-house, ensuring you the most efficient submittal process for your system.
